Virus protection blocks microphone/webcam

When you enter your webevent and/or want to activate your end devices (microphone/webcam), you may see the pop-up window "Your Media Devices Are Unavailable".

Do you use an anti-virus protection (e.g. AVG, Bitdefnder, Kaspersky)? Disable this feature to unlock your devices for your web event.

Solution for AVG:

  1. Open the application 
  2. Click on "Data protection"
  3. Click on "Webcam protection" and switch it off
  4. Close the application and update your webevent

Solution for Bitdefender:

  1. Open the application 
  2. Select the "Privacy" option
  3. Click on "Show Features”
  4. Select the settings icon in the webcam protection section
  5. Disable the settings that block direct and browser access to the webcam
  6. Close the application and update your webevent

Solution for Kaspersky:

  1. Open the application 
  2. Click on "Data protection".
  3. Select "Stop blocking”
  4. Close the application and update your webevent
